The Urban Trail Series - Race Description
The goal of The Urban Trail Series is to bring the enjoyment of trail running to a wider audience. The urban trail series aims to show people how we can use nature within our built up environment to stay healthy and have fun. If you have just got off the couch and done Operation Transformation then these events are a great next step on your journey.
The Urban Trail Series takes advantage of the best of grass and forest trails, fire roads and fields in urban parks around Dublin. You'll be surprised at the fun, unique and mysterious trail races there actually are, right on your own doorstep!
This series particularly welcomes complete beginners and novice runners. There are two race options of approx 4 to 5km, and approx 8 to 10km for each event in the series.
The Urban Trail Series will help you discover many of the advantages of trail running:-
- - safer and healthier than road running and is easier on the joints.
- - is more adventurous and a more gentle introduction to running.
- - supports a greener environment and promotes greater respect for our green areas.

Our 2015 events will be held in St Anne's Park (Raheny)on 22nd March and Tymon Park (Templeogue)on 19th April. Your support will encourage the continued provision of facilities that allow everyone enjoy the green spaces in our parks in a healthy way!
